About Me
Hi, I’m Stacy!
As a social worker for many years, I was always finding ways to help patients and families navigate through the medical system whether if it was finding solutions to their current living environments to safely return home independently, finding appropriate services and resources when discharged, navigating through insurances, or dealing with the emotional aspect of changing health status and living arrangements. Now, as patient myself, I am navigating through all of these aspects as well. I hope to draw upon all of my professional experience to provide you topics of interests. My blog will include humor in dealing with the day to day life situations and emotions people generally wish not to share. I will also provide more serious educational posts. If there is a topic you would like information on please let me know. Even though I am unable to work due to my illness and disabilities, I still have a passion to help patients and families dance with their illness and life!
I currently reside in South Central Pennsylvania with my spouse, we will celebrate our 29th anniversary this year. I have two daughters and their significant others. Let’s not forget my two Australian Shepherds, a.k.a. wiggle butts that are brother and sister who share my days with me.
I personally would like to thank my support team, which includes my devoted spouse, family, friends and neighbors. My life would not be the same without you!
